Category deletion[edit]
I had to decline your request to speedy delete Category:Members of the National Academy of Engineering because it appears that the category previously was populated but then was emptied manually by another user without following the discussion process at WP:CFD, and the speedy deletion criteria specifically prohibit deleting a category under these circumstances. " This image (as viewed 22 Oct 2009) is identical to that found in the publication: "Controlled Probe Surface Chemistry for Nanoscale Contact Deformation", by Catherine A Tweedie, Georgios Constantinides, Gregory S Blackman, and Krystyn J Van Vliet, Mater. Res. Soc. Symp. Proc. Vol. 1021, 2007, page 1021-HH06-01 -- figure 2 (inset). but the author list of that publication does not match the user (User:Deglr6328) who uploaded the image and claimed it was taken by him/her. The Materials Research Society owns the copyright of the article and hence the image, and hence this image is no longer (even if it was at one point) GPL.
Please clarify?

- I assure you that I created that image on a VCA device and I could easily do another one to prove it. I am afraid Tweedie et. al. and Materials Research Society are in obvious violation of the GFDL. I don't have access to the paper but I would love to know whether the image is merely being used illustratively (in which case, I could really care less about it) or if it is actually being passed off as their own research, in which case I would suggest the validity of Ms. Tweedie's research and her degree may be called into question. --Deglr6328 (talk) 08:07, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

Tomeraider Freeware[edit]
Referring to your reverting at the Tomeraider Wikipedia page: Mat Ripley released the Code Generator himself. Maybe saying Tomeraider is freeware now is a somewhat unlucky wording but shouldn't it be noted at the Tomeraider entry? An excerpt from the mail conversation with him: "Well the issue is the devlopement. We cant afford to do the work that would make them freeware. but please give all of that code gen stuff to the world:)" Please reply. I'll look back here. - I don't know who Mat is, but releasing of a keygen for the software is in direct conflict with the TomeRaider website, which is selling it for £15.00. Reply 2: Hello. I understand your point of view! Mat Ripley is according to my knowledge the lead developer of Yadabyte. Or the CEO according to http://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/introductions/265705-hi-i-m-mat-ripley-yadabyte-makers-tomeraider.html . Mat released the Code generator at yadabytes site. You can download it at testing.yadabyte.com (as I noticed on my Page http://jackpot-music.de/boni/yadabyte.html ). So I guess it wouldn't violate [[WP:ELNEVER]. Cheers!
- I'm thoroughly unconvinced. While it's strange that the code generator is available for download from a Yadabyte domain, it is not publicly linked from their main sites, which treat the product as commercial only. If it was now freeware why wouldn't they just say so? Secure server script[edit]
Hi Anakin101. I have just started writing the page Wikipedia:Secure server, since there is no documentation anywhere about the secure server. It's just a rough draft at the moment, but I and others will add more over time.
I just tested your user script User:Anakin101/alwayssecurewikipedia.js, and it worked marvellously! So I have a number of questions about it:
Is it okay if others start to use your script? It would mean a great service to a lot of users.
Is it okay if I add a recommendation of it on the Wikipedia:Secure server page?
I don't know much javascript, compared to you I am just a newbie javascript coder. (Although I have been programing computers since 1982.) So I would not like to copy your script, since I wouldn't be able to maintain it. So I would like that you keep on maintaining it. That is, that the "public" version of the script stays in your care, on its subpage in your user space.
But your user script currently lacks documentation. It would be nice if we added a documentation page to it, since without documentation most people won't dare to use it and won't know how to install it. Here's how I documented one of my scripts: User:Davidgothberg/clock. As you can see the documentation page has the same pagename as the script, apart from that it lacks the ending ".js". Over at Wikipedia:WikiProject User scripts we have discussed and tested different methods to document scripts, and that is the best method we could come up with. If you don't want to write the documentation yourself, then I can start it out for you. That would mean that I would make and edit the page User:Anakin101/alwayssecurewikipedia, and I would add a comment at the top of your script pointing to the documentation page.
All this is of course just questions and suggestions. It is your script, so you decide.
If/when you have answered feel free to poke me on my talk page.

LED digit (number).png[edit]
A few letters exist in fourteen-segment Latin alphabet, but missing one letter I need for my username ('J'), and having 'N' and 'O' as the only lime letters (too attention-grabbing bright; green on black is better). Current {{7seg}} exists for displaying ASCII letters and numbers as a seven-segment display, but the red and gainsboro color combination makes it very unappealing.
Your seven-segment numbers are near perfect for the purpose... except you don't have them available for the Latin alphabet; only numbers. I'm running legacy hardware, and it is very unlikely that I could create the necessary LED alpha letters as PNG files (I could try GIF with transparency). I would therefore like to submit a suggestion for the addition of Latin letters to your LED digits (as used in the digital clock template).
