Separation of first/second teams

I don't think this is really a useful way to organize groups of players on the 70 man rosters. At best this is really only accurate at the start of the season, but since players can (and do) move freely back and forth between ichi-gun and ni-gun, I think it doesn't make sense to organize the navbox by those teams.

Wouldn't a better option be to simply organize by role i.e. Pitchers/Catchers/Infielders/Outfielders/Coaches?

If there are no objections, I will reorder this navbox to follow that standard. Yakyuufan (talk) 05:47, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Update of Roster box

I still think there's merit using this as it helps people understand who is more of a regular versus who isn't. It just requires periodic updates. Navboxes serve a purpose, but I believe these do as well. MLB Wiki also needs to update their roster boxes when players move up and down between the majors and minors. (I know it's far more frequent in NPB) We just have to be more vigilant.Cynikles (talk) 01:07, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
