address[edit]

257 E State St, Lehi, UT. The provided address, according to Google Maps, is in the wasteland.--Manfariel (talk) 01:45, 5 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the co-ordinates are off a bit. If I knew the exact address I'd fix it myself. However, the building is visible on Google Maps, just south and a bit west of there the coordinates point to, using 222 E state st. or 783N 200E gives a better result. Hey, User:Manfariel and/or User:Moabdave, please go ahead and fix the coordinates in this article! And also please make corresponding fix at National Register of Historic Places listings in Utah County, Utah! It is well-known by WikiProject NRHP editors that coordinates in many NRHP articles are off at first, often due to gross error in the NRIS/National Register data. But also sometimes it's not really the fault of the NRHP nomination system, e.g. sometimes being off by 100 yards or more is due to the coordinates system itself having changed, rendering U.S.G.S. topographical maps (which used to be the sensible way to look up coordinates) inaccurate. See wp:NRHPhelp#Coordinates issues, which gives brief advice for getting the coordinates from Google satellite view. There are other kinds of database errors/issues in many NRHP articles which are tracked at wp:NRIS info issues UT, but the need to fix coordinates is so widespread that we don't even bother to track our fixes. Please wp:BEBOLD. :) --doncram 23:21, 6 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
