YouTube channel[edit]

@Beetstra: After an edit dispute with a bot—discussed on its talk page—I intend to re-insert {{YouTube|user=sitc}} as the SitC channel here, because it is not yet mentioned on the page and offers significant material not (yet) covered in the article, e.g., videos of SitC panels with notable (=enwiki has a page) YouTubers. –84.46.53.40 (talk) 02:45, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We cover material that warrants inclusion, we don't link to material because it is not mentioned in the article. The official website offers access to the material already, no need for duplication. --Dirk Beetstra T C 03:46, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Saffron Barker[edit]

FYI, because she's a winner listed in #2018, I've added Saffron Barker on WP:RFD (redirects for discussion) on December 19. Unrelated, I've added Social in the City on WP:AFC/R today. If Social in the City exists the WP:AFC/R request worked and was archived (that's typically fast, not up to five months possible for real AFC = article for creation reviews.) –84.46.52.84 (talk) 06:10, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Unsurprisingly the |needs-image=yes for WP Internet culture had no effect apart from confirming that this and the YouTube project are no zombies, but simply dead. Upload requested on WP:FFU, that page is still alive and kicking. –84.46.52.63 (talk) 05:00, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Special:MovePage over redirect[edit]

@BrandonXLF and Anthony Appleyard: Actually I didn't request the redirect without a reason:
The event was known as "Summer" SitC for 11 years, the first "Social" SitC Winter Edition ended four weeks ago, nobody knows for sure if the new name will be used for the first "Social" SitC Summer Edition in 2020, they could also fall back to the traditional "Summer" SitC, or give up in presence of the VidCon UK competition. This is supposed to be an encyclopedia, not some yellow pages for the latest marketing gimmicks, we have only one shaky source TenEightyMagazine.com with two references for the re-branding, not counting UGC + primary sources.
Of course don't undo the move, it can turn out to be correct, but it was TOOSOON and killed the redirect entry in Category:Recurring events established in 2019. –84.46.52.55 (talk) 08:11, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

#SitCAwards 2019[edit]

The fourth annual #SitCAwards were announced for the 2019 summer + winter events, but apparently didn't happen.[1]84.46.52.210 (talk) 09:34, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

{{cite tweet}} exists, I could abuse it to add a statement about the missing #SitCAwards 2019 to the #Summer in the City Awards intro, but even more primary sources combined with original research "didn't happen" is not what this forsaken article needs. The section can or should be renamed to SitC Awards when RS confirm it for 2020 after it actually happened. Hopefully these sources will also say "fourth" to explain 2019. –84.46.53.207 (talk) 23:53, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Summer in the City Awards is a redirect to #Summer in the City Awards. –84.46.53.42 (talk) 16:04, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
