History section

I recently learned that mortgages only got their start in the 1930's[1], partially as part of the New Deal.[2]. Mortgages existed in the 1800s it seems, but they weren't as prevalent as they are today.[3]. If someone reading this knows about the history of mortgages, a comprehensive history section would be a great addition to this article :) ~dandel-rovbur (talk) 05:03, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
