This picture was taken after the last major refit for the USS South Carolina. One of the major changes I notice is the total removal of the ASROC launcher just forward of the bridge on the main deck and the storage shelter for the ASROC reloads just forward of the laucher and just aft of the mk 54 gun. - Dan Matthews, former MM3, served on the SOCAR from 3/86 to 1/90
