Photo BU3511 Troops and Scout car in Arnhem 1945. The trooper in the Photograph is Raymond Cross ( Essex Reg) actually from Hugglescote in Leicestershire [ still alive 2010 September ). Raymond was transfered to Holland 1st January 1945 from Tilbury docks,ending up in Berlin as a Batman to Captain Sir Hugh Barrert Lennard ( the 'Dean'; became Dean of Brompton Oratory, London.). He revisited Berlin in the 1980's with his wife Kathleen, only problem he still has his FOUR SECTOR pass in his name. The German tour Guide made sure he did not use it!
