Error[edit]

This graphic is misleading in several ways and flatly wrong in one way.

The lines drawn between the pairs [₄₂Mo & ₄₄Ru], [₆₀Nd & ₆₂Sm], [₈₃Bi & ₉₀Th] and [₉₀Th & ₉₂U] should be omitted (leaving the dots the way they are). These line segments are visual aids only, not meant to suggest any sort of continuum between the elemental data points; however, these particular segments suggest such a continuum. Leaving out these line segments that traverse the atomic numbers for synthetic and/or non-primordial elements would be better. As they are, these line segments are misleading.

Secondly, ₄₈Cd (cadmium) is incorrectly labeled ₅₀Sn (tin).

The graphic appears in several articles and is deficient in these ways. I don't know how to fix it. Rt3368 (talk) 19:29, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
