I wouldn't be surprised. Look at the face--and then look at the face of St. John the Baptist for which Salai allegedly modeled. And then look at the original Mona Lisa. It looks to me like Salai, as a joke, did a self portrait with himself as the Mona Lisa, with breasts added on. It sounds exactly like the sort of thing that somebody called "The Little Devil" would do. You might be onto something with your observation about the hands. Has anyone else speculated on this?
