This is a photo of a jug band in Memphis, but is not the Memphis Jug Band. It was used on the cover of Bengt Olsson's book "Memphis Blues and Jug Bands" in 1970, and Olsson told me in a personal email in 2007, "It's one of fiddler Will Batt's outfits." I've changed the description to be more general rather than implying that it is the MJB in particular.
