Contested deletion[edit]

This file should not be speedy deleted as an obviously non-free file but which is not claimed by the uploader to be fair use, because... (your reason here) --Ericmattei (talk) 19:30, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and thank you for reading. At the time of writing, the image in question has been deleted. The advertising brochure that I scanned to produce this image File:Linn 9000 view top 300dpi 2550 1635.jpg was published by Linn Electronics in 1984. In 1986, they went out of business and Forat Electronics purchased they're remaining assets. http://www.forat.com/history/ Bruce Forat, president of Forat Electronics, believes he owns this brochure . He gave me permission to upload scans of the brochure. I helped Bruce write an email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org to give permission to publish under a free license. But we haven't heard back yet and I don't think we were clear. Also, I made mistakes in the file description page for the image in question and I tried to fix them yesterday morning. It no longer says: "author = scanned by Eric Mattei from advertising brochure", It now says: "author = Linn Electronics. Successor: Forat Electronics" We mean to deal in good faith. This image is one of four that I uploaded with the same provenance. We'd like to get this resolved. Please advise. Thank you. Ericmattei (talk) 19:30, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
