This map incorrectly indicates that Japan conquered Papua. Port Moresby, for example, was never captured. John Macilree (talk) 21:59, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In addition to it, Japan never conquered nor attempted to the north part of Shakhalin Island during WWII. That part was conquered to the russian empire and subsequently lost years before the date this maps attempts to show (1942). This maps needs a heavy redone.
