Why is this pic such horrendous, unreadably low quality? "Low resolution" doesn't have to mean "artefacted and almost unrecognisable". I could just about extrapolate what most of that text said, but couldn't decipher what turned out to be "free", which is really a rather important part of the sentiment. Have the BBC been interfering with Wikipedia and demanding that historical materials be pixelated in case they promote terrorism? :)

I've just taken the original, dropped it into Microsoft Paint, and resized it using the built in tool to slightly smaller than this copy, and it's both readable, AND unsuitable for blowing back up to make a good-looking poster as it quickly starts looking pixelated as soon as it's more than a few inches wide. Saved it into JPG format, closed the program, reloaded the image, it still looks alright.

How, therefore, might I be able to replace this messed up version with my quickly produced but still better looking one? 193.63.174.211 (talk) 12:42, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
