what is the function of the intake towers?

the intake towers take water in for the hydroelectric generators. Otherwise there'd just have to be a hole in the dam somewhere!

This is a sick picture! Daniel Christensen (talk) 19:02, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have a colection of Hoover damn things that all came from the same yard sale There us the orginal 1936 hoover damn tour guide book the an orginal copy of the presentation to congress a large map from the army of engineers a sample of the Type HH cable some stationary with the 1936 DEPT heading on it and photos of the first water going thru the generators and then i have 12 photographs of the entire transmiision line from damn to La Blowing up, and i verifed they are real and hes the real stinger i have photes of the power line arcing and plasma jumps about 12 ft and overloads cable so bad yu can see plasma leaking from wire before ut blows into pieces. I have not been able to find one person who can knows anything about it. I think it proves the people who think the damn makes more juice than they say and it also has a time line too go along with —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.128.155.164 (talk) 10:45, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
