From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1. No free equivalent. Barnes is dead and so no new free image can be created.

2. Respect for commercial opportunities. The appearance of a book cover does not replace the use of the book. Indeed, publishers "give away" the front cover art in catalogs as a means of driving sales up.

3. (a) Minimal usage. The image is used exactly once, in the article about the subject of the book.

(b) Minimal extent of use. Low-resolution image is the bare minimum necessary to fulfill the encyclopedic requirement.

4. Previous publication. This image is on every dust jacket of every copy of the book. This use will not pre-empt commercial release.

5. Content. Encyclopedic content meets content guidelines.

6. Media-specific policy. Use of media conforms with Wikipedia policies and guidelines.

7. One-article minimum. Image is used in one article.

8. Significance. Omission of this image would be detrimental to the article's usefulness because the image allows Barnes basic features to be viewed in the context of a book published based on his reputation life's work.

9. Restrictions on location. Image is used only in article namespace.

10. Image description page. Image talk page contains the appropriate information, and so does the image page. DickClarkMises (talk) 22:47, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
