This picture does not show North Greenland. It shows the District of Qaanaaq and an uninhabited part to the east. North Greenland covers almost half the westcoast. The division between North and Westgreenland seems to be defined by the Sea Ice circumstances. North Greenland is less openwatered because of the Golfstream.--Lena Dyrdal Andersen (talk) 08:16, 6 May 2010 (UTC) So if anyone can replace it. See the Danish version of North Greenland. --Lena Dyrdal Andersen (talk) 08:16, 6 May 2010 (UTC) There seems to be two different definitions of North Greenland. Because in my greenlandic atlas/book from 1989 I can see that this image is right. So the politicial demography is different from the geographical one? Because I have a document from 2006 that is in line with the Danish version and what I wrote further up (for which there is no image of North Greenland). I am little confused now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lena Dyrdal Andersen (talkcontribs) 08:27, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It illustrates the extent of the old Avannaa county, and is used only in the relevant article. Algkalv (talk) 09:26, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
