Copyright?[edit]

Well... This jacket design is a dark green rectangle (as the book is rectangular) with white and black letters surrounded by a frame of simple graphics. Truly a fine piece of art by Kenneth Farnhill. I guess that Cambridge University Press expects to make more money on this astonishing piece of art, than they did on my purchase of the book (first issue of 1968 - must be wort millions as the dust-jacket is intact - a bit frayed in the corners... but it is 50 years old!) or af any previous or forthcoming sales. To consider this as copyrighted just shows that the lower limit of human stupidity gets lower, lower and lower... On Wikimedia you can obviously publish a photo of a car that has been far more expensive to design - why isn't that piece of art protected by copyright? I'm just wondering and utterly, utterly astonished. Excuse me for thinking and expressing my thoughts. Episcophagus (talk) 14:48, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
