I am familiar with Enallagma cyathigerum, since we have it here in California. The image marked as E. cyathigerum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Common_blue_damselfly02.jpg) is not that species. Note the length and shape of the stigma, the shape of the appendage, and the extent of black on segments 8 and 9. Compare this to the picture of E. cyathigerum on this web page (http://bruunphotography.com/ode_locations/Norway_Damselflies_2005.html -- SECOND IMAGE FROM THE TOP). The photo at my web site was taken in southern Norway in 2005.
