There is no proof for any of these statement, just the author's personal opinion, no sources provided, no documentation, just aspersions based on the fact that the coin depicts a European king with Negroid features and obviously the author cannot accept that due to his or her personal prejudices and presuppositions based on narrative he or she has learned and has obviously clung to up till now.

"Negroid featured"[edit]

Two seconds of Googling shows this coin to be one of the modern counterfeit "reproductions" available on Amazon, Alibaba, et al for $1.87US. The overall lack of detail of the bust's features and large rounded nose are the key tells. Original coins -- of which any image search or perusal of coin catalogues for this date and ruler (Carolus III in Latin or Charles the 3rd of Spain in English) give innumerable examples -- are far more detailed and sharply outlined. They also show a normal Caucasian type, though large, nose. Not the round blob you call Negroid but which is also just poor stamping. The difference in the portrait detail and nose shape/size are easily recognizable between the modern counterfeit "reproductions" and originals. It has absolutely nothing to do with what you claim is prejudices and supposedly Negroid features of this king. Please also refer to the Wiki page and/or any portrait of Charles III of Spain: while he did have a large nose, there is nothing Negroid about his heritage or features. Your assertions are ridiculous, and just as unsourced and baseless. You don't need to be a numismatic expert to spot poorly stamped counterfeiting if you bothered to look; again literally a few seconds with any legitimate catalogues or museum examples of this particular coin proves your racist theory wrong. 156.44.35.244 (talk) 03:26, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Here's an image https://coinquest.com/cq_data/cq_ro/graphics/carolus_iii_real_fake.jpg which not only plainly shows the difference in overall detail and nose shape of an original vs modern counterfeit (of the same batch type pictured here), but also points out other subtle differences (see arrows referring to date numeral font, etc). Take your baseless woke theories elsewhere please. 156.44.35.244 (talk) 03:32, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
