Can anyone provide a more specific reference for this image? Its label states that it is either a "picture of a standing Bashō" or a picture of a "statue of a standing Bashō". I am not familiar with the phrase shichi-hen (七編, "seven editions"??), but is it possible it is the name of a series of seven images? The image appears exclusively in the article on Oku no Hosomichi, but neither the image nor the article explain its relevance to that work in particular. I recently took a photo of the famous Bashō statue in Hiraizumi (Chūson-ji) which I would like to upload and place in the relevant article on Oku no Hosomichi (Hiraizumi was a key stop on his journey), but I don't want to engage in image-overload on what is already a fairly short article that contains four pictures. elvenscout742 (talk) 02:57, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
