Character Naming

OK, i went and looked through the characters thoroughly, and 12 are not named in the current list: [1]

I could try to guess who each one is, but I'd rather let everyone else figure that out.  ;)

first of all, in the front row, you have 3 young men and one woman in t-shirts, plus a little girl in front of them. i'm not familiar with any of them, and none have wikipedia articles. the only names in the current list that could fit with them are Cloud 9, Trauma, and Southpaw; that leaves two of them with no names, and I don't know which ones is which among the other names.

i'll identify the remaining characters by who surrounds them:

1. the blond figure on the left side of the image, surrounded by Rage, Network, Green Goblin, Aegis, Swordsman, Gargoyle, and Rocket Racer

2. above that one and to the slight right are three unnamed figures; a dark-haired man, a dark-haired woman, and a cowled man; these three are surrounded by the following characters, clockwise: Death Adder, Aqueduct, Blade, Firebird, Ajaxis, and Micromax

3. to the right of them in the top center of the picture is a dark-haired man surrounded by Diamondback, Silhouette, Tarantula, Black Cat, Humbug, Rockslide, and Slyde

4. below him and to the right is a woman with a sword, surrounded by Shang-Chi, Doc Samson, Shooting Star, Ares, Black Cat, and Humbug

5. slightly up from her and to the right are two more unnamed figures, a woman with short-cropped hair and a blond man, surrounded by Mach-IV, Asylum, Radioactive Man, Nightwing, Hellcat, Captain Britain, Human Torch, Bloodstrike, X-Ray, Sage, and Deadpool

6. slightly down and right from that blond man is another blond man, surrounded by Angela del Toro, Wiccan, Puma, Radioactive Man, Asylum, and Tiger Shark

7. finally, on the right side of the image are two more: a cowled man and a man in glasses, surrounded by Timeslip, Comet Man, Shockwave, Black Crow, Scorpion, Bullseye, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Thing. 204.153.84.10

Did some more research. i think the little girl in front is cloud 9, and the other female is Southpaw. that leaves the name Trauma for one of the 3 t-shirted gentlemen, and unknown names for the other two. the middle one with the dark hair could possibly be a character called Mastermind Excello.

#2 i think this is Magdalene.

#6 might be Alex Power.

Since a lot of these characters are known to be part of teams Initiative based [Mighty Avengers, Thunderbolts, etc.] and not [Nextwave, Young Avengers, etc. to my knowledge have no official state yet], for the sake of organization, it would be best to organize the list by [known] teams? 1. 6 is definitely Alex Power AKA Zero-G {of Power Pack} and fka Powerpax/Powerhouse of the New Warriors......However, according to the advance previews for AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #1; the girl who's believed to be Southpaw calls herself ARMOR.....PaxHouse 16:02, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Marvel.Com has just recently posted the entire listings of the characters involved within the AVENGERS:THE INITIATIVE Image......And although most of the names are correct; still you'll probably have to double check the names against the placements of some of them mentioned.... Of the characters identified above, #1 is Sentry (because apparently the character previously identified as Sentry is actually Quasar, somehow!), #2 is one of several SHIELD agents, Magdalene, and the Masked Marvel, #3 is Hellion, #4 is a SHIELD agent, #5 are Wolfsbane and Atlas, #7 are Rattler and Hindight Lad,
