Summary

Description
English: The Wurare inscription is written in Sanskrit, dated 1211 Saka (1289 CE). The inscriptions are made up of a 19 stanza poem, tells a story about a monk by the name of Arrya Bharad who was tasked with separating the island of Java into two areas, Jenggala and Panjalu, because two princes were warring over them. The ancient inscription is found at the base of Mahaksobhya Buddhist statue (locally called "Joko Dolog"), at Apsari Park, Surabaya. Left side picture.
Bahasa Indonesia: Prasasti Wurare ditulis dalam bahasa Sansekerta, tanggal 1211 Saka (1289 M). Prasasti berupa sajak 19 bait, bercerita tentang seorang bhikkhu bernama Arrya Bharad yang bertugas memisahkan pulau Jawa menjadi dua daerah, Jenggala dan Panjalu, karena dua pangeran yang berperang memperebutkannya. Prasasti kuno ini tertulis di lapik alas patung Buddha Mahaksobhya (dijuluki arca "Joko Dolog"), terdapat di Taman Apsari, Surabaya. Tampak samping kiri.
