Description The gates to the site formerly housing Wimbledon Football Club's traditional home stadium, Plough Lane. This photograph was taken in 2006 by an unknown AFC Wimbledon supporter, three to four years after the stadium was demolished and 15 years after the last first-team match there. Following the relocation of Wimbledon F.C. to Milton Keynes in 2003, the gates, bearing the graffiti slogan "Womble Till I Die!" became a rallying symbol for AFC Wimbledon supporters. The gates have since been removed, and blocks of flats cover the site.
