Summary

Description Wołów - Monument "To the Glory of Polish Aviators and Cosmonauts", opened in 1985 (on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of Wołów receiving its town privileges, consisting of a Lim-5P (Polish-built licence MiG-17PF) fighter in the Polish Air Force markings; this particular plane was flown by the first Polish cosmonaut in space - Mirosław Hermaszewski.[1] The guide-post to twinning town Berdyczów in Ukraine can also be seen.
