Summary

Description
English: This charger is unusual in that it was decorated by John Pearson, better known as a founder member of the Guild of Handicraft in 1888. Prior to 1888 Pearson worked at William De Morgan's pottery works and it is believed that his later metalwork was inspired by his time at the works. The mark on the back of this charger appears to provide incontrovertible evidence that Pearson worked as a decorator for De Morgan.
