Deutsch: Die ukrainisch-unierte und griechisch-katholische Barbarakirche an der Adresse Postgasse 8A im 1. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Innere Stadt.
Die Kirche wurde von 1652 bis 1654 von den Jesuiten errichtet. Nach der Aufhebung des Jesuitenordens (24. Juli 1773) durch Joseph II. und der Schließung des Konvikts stiftete Maria Theresia am 7. Oktober 1775 Konvikt und Kirche der griechisch-katholischen Kirche als Seminar (Barbareum). 1784 wurde das Seminar aufgehoben und eine Pfarre errichtet. Um 1852 wurde die Kirche von Paul Sprenger in den Gebäudekomplex des neu erbauten Hauptpostamtes integriert und neu fassadiert. |
