Summary
| Description |
Mile End Road, Mile End. Designed by T J Evans & Co and completed 1925-7. The Spiegelhalter family refused to sell their jeweller's shop and the store was built around it with the two parts forming part of a greater design, anticipating the eventual purchase of the jewellers and its incorporation into the whole. The former jewellers shop is due to finally be demolished to make way for a new atrium entrance to the building. |
