Summary

Description Dr. Andrew Terranella (EIS, 2010) processes blood samples during a December, 2010, epi-aid investigation of whooping cough in central Ohio. Laboratory findings provided critical insight during this investigation. The investigation team drew blood samples in unconventional settings, including residences and places of work, requiring special considerations to minimize occupational risks.
