Summary

Description Divide and conquer, the stoping action of white granite intruding black basalt. Some sections of the give-and-take are up to 25 m wide along a 5 km long contact. The rocks are Precambrian or 3 billion years old. The near-vertical scatches = glacial striations (view large) are Quaternary or 10,000 years old.
