Beschrijving : Watersnood 1953. In Nieuwerkerk op Duiveland staat het water nog tot aan de daken van de huizen. Na twee maanden staat het water in deze plaats, welke nog volkomen is geïsoleerd nog even hoog als op de dag van de stormramp op 1 februari 1953. Slechts per roeiboot is het dorp waar 15 mensen aanwezig zijn te bereiken. Wateraanvoer geschiedt per tankboot, welk water in tanks ter plaatse wordt gedaan. Naar slachtoffers wordt nog steeds gezoch en zo veel mogelijk wordt nog uit het water gehaald, wat in de toekomst nog van nut kan wezen.
