Afrikaans: Twee patroondoppies wat in Oktober 2012 op die slagveld by die Waterbergplato gevind is. Hierdie twee patroondoppies kom van die Koninklike Geweerfabriek Spandau, en volgens hul bodemstempels is die een links in Desember 1910, en die een regs in November 1900 vervaardig. Daaraan kan afgelei word dat minstens die linkerpatroon gewis nie by die 1904-geveg gebruik is nie! Dit is steeds moontlik met die regterkantste een, maar dit is ook moontlik dat albei lank ná die geveg afgevuur is, byvoorbeeld tydens 'n jagtog.

Deutsch: zwei Patronenhülsen vom Schlachtfeld am Waterberg, gefunden im Oktober 2012. Die beiden Patronen kamen aus der Königlichen Gewehrfabrik Spandau. Laut Bodenstempel wurde die links abgebildete im Dezember 1910 hergestellt, die rechte im November 1900. Anhand der Bodenstempel ist ersichtlich daß zumindest die linke Patrone definitiv nicht bei der Schlacht 1904 zum Einsatz kam! Bei der rechten ist es immerhin möglich, es kann jedoch auch sein daß beide Patronen erst lange nach der Schlacht abgefeuert wurden, beispielsweise bei einer Jagd.
