Object history
Deutsch: Eine Siegelverleihung erfolgte 1474 (urkundlich als „Eintragung von späterer Hand“). Nach entsprechender heraldischer Rekonstruktion ist das Wappen in der heutigen Form seit 1897 in Gebrauch. Der Sittich deutet auf die seinerzeitige Gründung des Zisterzienserklosters Grünhain durch Mönche aus dem Kloster Sittichenbach im Mansfeldischen hin.
