This coat of arms image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.


It is recommended to name the SVG file “Wappen Mombach.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
Description

Deutsch: *Die beiden oberen Felder nehmen Bezug auf die Geschichte der Kirchengemeinde:
    • im Rechten Teil ist der Schild des Domkapitels mit seinen charakteristischen roten Streifen auf silbernem (heute weißem) Grund dargestellt. Ein Hinweis auf die früheren Besitzverhältnisse.
    • Links daneben ist ein goldener Bischofsstab und drei goldene Kugeln auf blauem Untergrund zu sehen, die an den Schutzpatron St. Nikolaus erinnern sollen.
  • Auf den beiden unteren Feldern wird die Gegenwart des Jahres 1974 symbolisiert:
    • Das rechte Feld mit gekreuzten Spaten und Karst in Silber auf grünem Grund weist auf die damals noch existierende Landwirtschaft hin.
    • Das schwarze, liegende Zahnrad auf silbernem Grund weist auf die in Mombach ab 1856 und verstärkt nach dem Krieg angesiedelte Industrie hin.
