Object history
English: The arms of Hirrlingen are based upon local seals from the 19th century, which displayed a bend, superimposed by a plough share. At least since 1920 the plough share was depicted and denoted as an arrowhead. They keep an arrow in Hirrlingen, which according to a legend has to do something with St. Sebastian. In 1962 the bend was removed and the plough share was re-established – though it looks still like an arrowhead or a fir tree. Hirrlingen had been a fiefdom of the Counts of Hohenberg. Red and silver have been their colours.
