The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey. |
| Replaceable? |
The company logo, which is a small stylistic "V" followed by the name (vertical, lower case v) with a (TM) is displayed in a thumbnail sketch. This use is within a small part of the InfoBox. Deleting the stylistic "V" might serve the same purpose, but also might be harming their logo: somewhat like taking the top off the "o" of Cola, in Coca Cola - not likely to prevent legal action but, on the contrary, be adding risk. In short, the "No free equivalent" seems like the best answer.
