Certain use of specific US Federal names, initials, or emblems, related to departments, agencies, bureaus, or instrumentalities of the United States is subject to prosecution under 18 U.S.C. § 709 and § 712. Certain use of US Federal seals is subject to prosecution under 18 U.S.C. § 506 and § 1017.
