Underground hospital (SC 180859), National Museum of Health and Medicine Description: "Underground hospital. A 3 ward underground hospital, complete with x-ray equipment and facilities for operating, has been dug out of the sandstone and solid rock at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Arkansas. Each of the three wards are about 12 feet high by 10 by 20 feet in area, and reconnected with each other by tunnels, which in turn connect with a passageway leading to the upper ground. Exterior view, showing tunnel entrances leading to the underground hospital, with the entire motor pool of the organization on top of its structure."
