English: Aboard USS Coronado (AGF 11) San Diego, Ca (Jul. 30, 2002) -- The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force Gen. Richard Myers (center) tours the Joint Air Operation Center aboard the U.S. Third Fleet command ship. Coronado is the headquarters for the command of maritime and joint forces during “Millennium Challenge 2002” (MC-02). MC-02 is one of the largest U.S. joint military training experiments developed by the U.S. Joint Forces Command (JFCOM) designed to test a number of joint organizational concepts in cooperation with events staged at eight western U.S. bases and facilities. The experimental exercise will focus on finding new ways to use the equipment already available to the military.
