Description
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer USS William R. Rush (DD-714) underway, circa 1976. From 1973 to its decommissioning in 1978, William R. Rush was assigned to the Naval Reserve, Homeported at Fort Schuyler, Bronx, New York City. Selected reserve crews trained aboard the ship which operated between the Virginia Capes Operating Area and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
