Summary

Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Philippine Sea (CV-47) at anchor in Argostolion, Greece, dressed out for the Greek Independence Day. Philippine Sea was deployed the Mediterranean Sea from 9 February to 26 June 1948 with Carrier Air Group 9 (CVG-9) embarked.
