English: The U.S. Navy attack transport USS Gasconade (APA-85) is sunk as a target ship on 21 July 1948. She was sunk by torpedoes.
Note: The ship is described as "USS Cascade (APA-85)". USS Cascade (AD-16), however, was a destroyer tender scrapped in 1975.
