Description
English: A starboard bow view of the Military Sealift Command oilers USNS Henry Eckford (T-AO-192) and USNS Benjamin Isherwood (T-A0-191) tied up at the Norfolk Ship Building and Dry Dock Corporation near Norfolk. The two ships, under construction since 1986, and partially completed first by Penn Shipbuilding and then by Tampa Shipbuilding, are being prepared by NORSHIPCO for long term storage as the feasability of converting them to ammunition ships proved cost prohibitive. Location: Elizabeth River, Norfolk, Virginia, United States of America
