Description
English: Controlled substances, although prescribed to an individual, expire when the medication is no longer needed or the number of days supply listed on the bottle has passed. Prescription medication should be discarded properly by returning the remaining portion to the main pharmacy at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa. Ingesting expired, controlled substances is chargeable under article 112a of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
