Summary
| Description |
English: Square-formed "timber marks" for identifying the owner (Stora Kopparberg AB in this case) of each log when floating timber on Dalälven river, Sweden. These marks are now visible on logs which were used to replace bad ones when an old timber building was moved to its new location in an outdoor museum in 1913.
Svenska: Flottningsmärke. Kvadratiska trubb- respektive vassmärken på stockar i bod vid Minnesstugan i Gagnef. Dessa stockar av flottad torrtall sattes in i byggnaden när den återuppfördes på friluftsmuseet 1913. Detta märke anger att stockarna tillhörde Stora Kopparberg (som kanske skänkte virket till friluftsmuseet). |
