Looking E from Portland Canal at Fourteenth Street (Conrail) Bridge
Towboat "Valvoline", with well-known stack colors of Ashland Oil Company, upbound out of canal with empty tank barges
Downtown buildings and Clark Bridge in distance
Concrete guidewall at right appears to be recently built.
These guidewalls assist pilots in keeping their tows within the navigation channel when passing under the lift span of the bridge, especially during high water.
