Summary
| Description |
Nederlands: Oude smederij in Tolbert (Leek, Groningen, Nederland). Van 1872 tot 1902 was hier smid Durk Hendriks Nijhoff gevestigd. In 1902 werd de zaak overgenomen door smid Jan Bos. In 1912 liet Bos op de plek van het gebouw van de smederij, die van voor 1800 dateerde, een nieuwe smederij bouwen. In 1934 nam zijn zoon Jacob Bos de smederij over. In 1963 verhuisde Jacob en omdat zijn zoon Jan hem niet wilde opvolgen werd het pand verhuurd aan loodgieter Willem J. Buist. In 1985 stond het pand op de nominatie om te worden gesloopt. In de jaren 1990 werd het pand echter aangewezen als gemeentelijk monument. Momenteel is RR Trading Pelletkachels er gevestigd, welke Artel pelletkachels aanbied.
In de tuin bevindt zich een ondergronds waterbekken. bron
