Summary

Description
English: Tithe Barn, Easington, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
14th century tithe barn at the heart of Easington village, which would have been used to store church taxes paid by farmers in the form of grain. The building has a timber frame and walls of hand-made bricks. The main part of the thatched roof is made from reeds and the top ridge made out of straw. A horse engine house (not seen here) has been added to the western wall. [Information supplied by hidden-holderness.org]
