Licensing[edit]

This is a claim for fair usage in Thich Quang Duc

  • Thich Quang Duc was a Buddhist monk who self-immolated in protest against the religious policies of President Ngo Dinh Diem of South Vietnam
  • One of the main talking points was that his heart remained intact after the cremation, which is seen as unusual and hard to fathom and hard to believe
  • The picture of the heart is used to discuss the phenomena that was observed and to verify the existence of the intact heart.
  • It is of low resolution and is only used for educational purposes
  • Use of the picture does not damage the commercial prospects, more so since the picture is often distributed to Buddhists without being sold
  • The picture might actually be free
