Description
English: The steamship 'Dragonfly' underway. Signed/inscribed 'V. Luzzo Venice, 1884' on attached crop (lower right). 16 x 26in. (40.5 x 66cm.) Built by W. Gray & Co. of West Hartlepool for Galbraith, Pembroke & Co., Dragonfly was a cargo ship of 1,761 tons launched on the 23rd April 1883. She was wrecked on 10th December 1889 off Nieuwe Dieppe on a voyage from Taganrog to Amsterdam with a cargo of Rye.
