Summary

The Westminster School Greaze on Shrove Tuesday,(27 February) 2001. Shown, lining the right-hand wall, are (from right): two vergers; Tristram Jones-Parry, head master of Westminster School (1998-2005); Dr Jonathan Katz, Master of the Queen's Scholars; Arthur Wesley Carr, Dean of Westminster; and Peter Tocknell, head of physics, guarding the weighing scales in which the two largest pieces of pancake are measured after the Greaze has ended. Among the participants in that year's Greaze were (from left): James Fassam-Wright (grey T-shirt), son of Richard Wright, former Ambassador of the European Union to Russia; David Brescia (black T-shirt); Naveed Karim (white T-shirt); Arpad Rajeczy von Burian; and William Swannell.
